Our Teachers
Hello! I am Ivania Zelaya, the founder of Divino Niño Wonderschool. I was inspired to start my own program because it has always been my dream to design my own space where children can blossom and grow. I have loved working with children since I was young. I have 18 years of experience working with young children.
Philosophy
Divino Niño Wonderschool is a Spanish bilingual school. We believe in creating a safe environment where children are happy, parents know their children are safe, and we as teachers help children develop into well-balanced individuals with a range of interests and a curiosity to continue learning. We promote, respect, and foster a creative environment in which children are free to explore and learn in a fun manner.
We believe that children learn through exploring and we strive to create an open learning environment in which children engage in activities that help them learn and develop. We partner with parents to raise healthy, happy children and emphasize two-way communication as essential to this partnership.
Location
Divino Niño Wonderschool is located in a welcoming, warm apartment in the Bernal Heights neighborhood in San Francisco.
We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include dramatic play area (for self-expression and empathy), art area (for expressing emotions and ideas), and manipulatives and math area (for fine motor skills and beginning math concepts).
Children will have some outdoor time everyday: we believe that connecting with nature is vital to a child’s happiness and growth.
At Divino Niño Wonderschool, we provide an environment that supports the cognitive, social, and emotional growth of each child.
About our program

We foster independence and nurture social skills in a hands-on learning environment. Our focus on experiential learning sets us apart in the realm of early childhood growth and education.
