Our Teachers

Hello and welcome to Cynthia’s Wonderschool! I am Cynthia Gomez, the proud owner, founder and primary educator at my child care program. I started my program after over six years of experience working with young children because I saw a need for high-quality care in my community. I was previously a babysitter for several years and truly love working with kids of all ages.

In addition to running my program, I enjoy decorating and keeping an environment that’s clean and colorful. I also love cooking, so children in my program will be served meals that are always delicious and healthy.

Philosophy

At Cynthia’s Wonderschool, I believe that all children deserve access to a high-quality child care program that is clean, safe, and educational. I work hard to provide a secure environment where children can learn and develop by following their own unique interests.

I value trust, love and understanding. I live these values by communicating openly and often with parents to build trust, giving love and attention to each child in my care, and respecting the diversity of families in my program.

Location

Cynthia’s Wonderschool is located in a welcoming, cozy apartment in the Bernal Heights neighborhood.

We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include a block area (for gross motor skills and problem solving), manipulatives and math area (for fine motor skills and beginning math concepts), and reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite).

Children will have some free time to play every day. Children can select what toy to play with or book to read or just jump, run. They can express what they want to do on his or her own time and space.

At Cynthia’s Wonderschool, I want to provide a loving home away from home.

2. Tour our program

Come see what makes Cynthia’s Wonderschool unique. If we are currently hosting tours, you can request or schedule a tour at the top of this page. If we are not currently hosting tours, you’ll see a “Request Info” button at the top of this page; if you submit your information using this button, we will notify you when we start host tours again in the future.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application. Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
