Our Teachers
Laura: My family have operated an in-home daycare in the Richmond district since March 2014. We are finally expanding to an infant center. We have care for numerous families over the last 8 years and they are like extended family to us. I have been working for children since 2009 from infants to school-age. I have five children of my own ranging from 3 months to 10 years old.
Philosophy
We are a play based with a blend of Montessori inspired infant facility. Children under the age of 5 learn best through play. Through play, children show us what they are capable of and how we as teachers and guide them to something more. It helps us ask more open ended questions, think of new ways to spark their curiosity, and teach us new ways of teaching. The blend on Montessori helps children become more independent as they develop new skills through play.
About our program
At Baby Prodigy Nursery, we provide a safe space for infants to learn and grow. We have a variety of toys and teachers who have the educational background to guide our children to learning through play. We are like an extended family to all our families and children. We believe working together with parents help their child become more independent as they get older. Being in a group environment teaches infants to socialize early on and they learn patience. We have a low ratio of 4:1 and they will be in a group setting of 12 infants to 3 teachers.
