Hello! I am Alice Shao, the founder of Alice’s Daycare. I was inspired to start my own program because I have loved working with children since I was young. I have 7 years of experience working with young children.
I am also a parent and have two children of my own. I have a 4 year old and a 6 year old. I am also in the process of getting my degree in Early Childhood Education.

Testimonials
“Best daycare ever. We had to find daycare immediately as our previous daycare often closed all of sudden. We are lucky we found Alice’s daycare. We dropped off our daughter as walk-in. Our daughter was only 3 and half months old. That was the first day and ever since our daughter has been going to Alice’s Daycare. She is now 6 months and we can tell that our daughter loves being there with her peers and Alice. We enjoy receiving pictures; everyday is different and all kids there are so cute. Alice creates caring, loving and fun environment there so that our daughter is being taken care of well and she looks happy. We appreciate Alice’s hard work also providing loving environment to our daughter. In all, we are very comfortable sending our child to Alice’s daycare and we definitely recommend if anyone is looking for daycare.” - Kayo P.
“I had to share my good experience here because Alice is amazing. I have a four month old and upon having my baby there with her for a week, she’s completely helped me clear up her skin which we’ve been trying to do for the last two months. Now we are working on getting her on a schedule because I was a SAHM and never got the baby to nap and feed on a regular schedule. The location is clean and I mean like your own house kind of clean and best of all she speaks three languages which helped with our transition because she has to report to the grandparents about our child’s day in mandarin or cantonese depending on who is picking her up.” - theresa c.
“Alice’s daycare is located at a convenient location in San Francisco. The daycare is close to freeway but the area is quiet. Alice is very patient and friendly. She keeps the place clean and cozy. She has a variety of toys for children of different age group. She also provides variety of food for lunch and snacks. My son loved going to her place.” - Diana T.
Philosophy
At Alice’s Daycare, we believe that children grow, learn, and thrive by feeling safe, loved, and nurtured. It is our goal to provide an environment that makes children feel welcomed and at home. In our program, children will feel genuinely cared for and cherished. We believe that children develop through play because they learn best through hands on experiences. Children need to use all their senses to better understand the world around them. We nurture a love for language learning and laughter!
Alice’s Daycare is a Mandarin. Cantonese, and English daycare. This multi-lingual experience is so valuable for students as they develop and grow.
Location
Alice’s Daycare is located in a bright, warm single family home in the Outer Mission neighborhood.
We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include block area (for gross motor skills and problem solving), manipulatives and math area (for fine motor skills and beginning math concepts), and reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite).
Children will have some outdoor time everyday in my private yard or outdoor space. Children need space to run, jump, and move!
At Alice’s Daycare, I want to provide a loving home away from home.
