Our Teachers
Hello! I am Lorena Castaneda, the founder of Lorena.s Wonderschool. I originally opened my program in 2008 in my old apartment because my friend inspired me. I have 2 children of my own and my friend suggested I start a business and move into a home so that I could provide more space for the children in my program. I closed my program for a year to focus on my family but I have recently reopened my program and am so happy to be able to help families with their childcare needs. I have over 12 years of experience working with children.
Achievements
Philosophy
At Lorena’s Wonderschool, we want children to feel comfortable transitioning from home to a new environment. In our program children will learn to socialize with others and prepare for preschool. Our bilingual English - Spanish program will teach kids to do activities and learn in both languages. Lorena’s Wonderschool provides a loving home away from home!
Location
Lorena.’s Wonderschool is located in a warm, cozy single family home in the Bell Air neighborhood. Our program is a 7-minute walk to the Caltrain station and close to the 101 freeway. We are also close to our local elementary school.
Children will have some outdoor time everyday in my private yard or outdoor space. I love getting outside with the children and doing plenty of outdoor activities.
