Our Teachers
Hello! I am Zahara Causin, the founder of Zahara’s Casita. I was inspired to start my own program because I have loved working with children since I was young. I have 25 years of experience working with young children, in addition to raising my own two children who are now 16 and 23 years old.
Irais Vazquez has extensive education and work experience within the early childhood development field. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Linguistics degree from Cal State Dominguez Hills. Irais has worked for two years as a Spanish immersion teacher at My Escuelita Spanish School in Redondo Beach, CA, and for two years teaching Spanish Enrichment at the Wiseburn School District. She has also worked as a nanny for families in the Los Angeles area.
Irais and I are not only bilingual but bicultural. Children under our care will learn and practice the beautiful Spanish language, and they will also get to experience some of the rich culture that is so connected to our Southern California life. Both of us have had under our care children starting from newborn to when they leave for school. We are happy to share references.

Testimonials
We would like to give it 5 stars. We could not be happier with our experience at Zahara’s Casita over the last 3 years. We have sent both of our kids there and they have been so well taken care of. It is a wonderful place where kids have lots of fun, are attentively cared for, and learn Spanish to boot. I would recommend it to anyone considering sending their kids to daycare and am deeply grateful that we found it.

Philosophy
At Zahara’s Casita, every child is received with genuine love and affection. It is a place where children will experience safety, joy, and growth—in a home environment. The early years are key to the development of a child, and our program provides the essential nurturing and care that your child deserves.
Location
Zahara’s Casita is located in a cozy, beautiful apartment in the Redondo Beach, CA neighborhood.
We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include music and movement area (for physical activity and cultural learning), reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite), and art area (for expressing emotions and ideas).
Children will have some outdoor time everyday at a local park or playground. Children need space to run, jump, and move!
At Zahara’s Casita, I want to provide an enriching environment where children feel free to explore and play. The safety of your child will be the top priority, so you can be assured that every space is designed with that in mind.
About our program
At Zahara’s Casita, we provide a warm, nurturing, and home-like environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to explore the world around them. Our program focuses on individualized attention, early childhood development, and hands-on learning experiences to foster cognitive, emotional, and social growth.
We are a bilingual immersion program, allowing children to develop language skills naturally while embracing cultural diversity. We celebrate community and family connections by hosting family-friendly events and special celebrations throughout the year.
Our specialized approach includes age-integrated groups that encourage peer learning, outdoor exploration, and creative expression through music, arts, and sensory play. We believe that every child deserves a loving space to learn, play, and thrive, and we are committed to providing that every day.
