Linda Berry, Owner & Teacher
Ms. Linda has always loved caring for young children! As a teen and young adult, she jumped at any opportunity to babysit. She went on to receive her social science degree with an early childhood education emphasis and has been in the preschool & childcare industry since 2005. She directed large preschools, daycares, learning centers and after school programs for many years before starting her own!
Ms. Linda has plans to open an innovative preschool center someday, where she dreams of taking a percentage of the tuition to go towards her charity organization so she can open schools and homes for abandoned children in third world countries!
In addition to her passions for education and humanitarian work, Ms. Linda is also a strong advocate for good old fashioned fun! Laughter is the key to happiness, and Ms. Linda loves having fun and getting silly with her students. She would love for you to join the Little Scholars family!

Testimonials
We have 15 out of 15 Five Star reviews on Yelp!
We absolutely love and recommend this place. Both of our children went through here on their way to Kindergarten. We found that they learned a lot more about STEM topics than at the other preschool our son went to before we moved him here. Miss Linda and her crew are all so kind and loving and our kids looked forward to going every day. As parents we loved the little updates we would get throughout the day via the app they use for communication. Sometimes they were just little notes about how much of their lunch they ate or when nap time started and ended. But many times there were cute little pictures or videos of our kids participating in some activity or craft. Like I said we highly recommend them and one of our friends sends their daughter there now as well.” -Bill O.
HIGHLY recommended! When we moved back to Pleasanton we looked at a couple places for our daughter’s preschool. We had checked one that resembled more like a typical elementary school, and we then found Little Scholars. From the first meeting and tour (virtual in our case because of COVID) Miss Linda made it feel like a very special place. And it is! Teachers are just wonderful (Miss Kat, Miss Nya and Miss Tanya) and they all treated our daughter in the best way possible. They have a lot of different activities planned for them, from classroom style ones to playing with small farm animals. You can tell there is a lot of love put into everything they do. Their summer camp is also very good.” - Federico M.
“When I first met Linda I was so impressed by how welcoming, friendly, energetic and ready to start a new day she was. As time went on, I realized how generous, kind, professional and dedicated person she is. I can trust her with my “eyes closed”. She is an admirable person who truly care and support our children. Mere words could never express my gratitude to you for being there for each one of us. I can’t recommend her enough or say enough good things about her. She’s amazing!!! This is one of the best decisions our family has ever made. Thank you for sharing your love and passion of making our children’s lives brighter and happier :)” – Maria R.
“I’m very happy and pleased to have my daughter start preschool here with Ms Linda. In just 2 months, I can see her growth in learning. So proud that she can write her name when she didn’t know it prior to attending. She enjoys this class so much and is always so thrilled to go. If it was up to her, she would go everyday =D. Thanks to Ms. Linda for all that she does. She truly cares about her students and does an excellent job. “ - Beth L.
“My child loves going to school here.” - Katie H.
Philosophy
At Little Scholars Preschool & Daycare, we believe that with a loving and nurturing atmosphere, the sky is the limit for what children and toddlers can learn. As your child’s first exposure to an academic setting, preschools, toddler programs and daycares should all leave a positive and lasting first impression. We want every one of our students to enter kindergarten feeling excited about school and confident to take on the world!
Ms. Linda’s mission is to inspire children to engage in their passions, develop a love for school, and build kind and generous character. Our students construct knowledge through interactions with materials, people, events, and ideas. Little Scholars Preschool is designed to encourage STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) skills. Most of our toys use critical thinking and problem solving strategies. During play, your children are learning!
We also believe in the whole child, focusing not just on academics, but also on teaching life’s most important character lessons. Becoming a caring, compassionate individual is as important as becoming a strong, independent leader, and we will help your child discover what makes him or her unique in a fun way that they love. We will also help your child learn how to regulate their emotions and communicate in a healthy, constructive way when they have a need or a disagreement with a peer.
We value the child/parent relationship, and believe that, as a team, we can help your child thrive. We respect a variety of parenting styles and cultures! We do our best to work with you so that, together, we can achieve the perfect classroom experience for your child!

About our program
At Little Scholars, we believe that all toddlers and preschoolers, no matter where they are from, deserve the kind of quality education and loving childcare that will engage their curiosity and get them excited to learn!
Our innovative, custom curriculum goes far beyond a typical preschool. We do not just do art, math and phonics! Our students also get to enjoy music, engineering projects, science experiments, sensory explorations, outdoor learning experiences, cooking projects and public speaking every single week! We also know how important it is to teach children how to regulate their emotions and manage conflict in a healthy way. We have monthly character traits like kindness and honesty and we work with them daily at managing peer conflicts. This is not the kind of daycare that sticks children in front of a tv. We keep them engaged, excited and loved!
Toddlers thrive here! Little Scholars is a magical place filled with love and care, fun and adventure, silliness and laughter…all while maximizing each child’s potential for absorbing the world’s knowledge! We are a big, happy family and we cannot wait to meet your little one!
