Our Teachers

Hello, My name is Julie Zamora, I would like to this opportunity to give you a little back ground of myself. This is where my journey begins… I recieved my License for childcare in 1991. Along this path I wanted to further my education so I went on to college and achieved my AS Degree In Child Development. I did not stop there I went on to get my: Assistant Teacher permit Associate Teacher Permit Teacher Permit Master Teacher permit And now have my Site Supervisor Permit all through the Ventura County Office of Education. I have also received a 5 star rating through Ventura County Quality Counts. I am Certified in CPR/First Aid for Infants, Children & Adults I am also contracted with the Infant Toddler Program through Child Development Resources I am currently a member of the Ventura County Childcare Association. Also a member of UDW AFSCME Local 3930 Childcare Union
With all this being said the hard work is behind me now and it is time to enjoy what I have worked so hard for “ THE CHILDREN” 😊

Philosophy

This early childcare facility philosophy, known as “developmental” in the United States, is centered on building confidence, creativity, and a love for school in children through age-appropriate play-based learning. The program aims to provide a warm and loving environment that strengthens children’s self-concept, fosters creativity, and nurtures relationships with others, allowing them to explore their own interests while developing friendships.

Location

I feel this is a great location due to the Oxnard College, Fred Williams Elementary School, and Blackstock Middle School at within walking distance. Childcare is also near College Estates Park for walks and outings.

About our program

As stated earlier, my Childcare is a Play Based Program, I teach the concepts of Math, Science, Early Literacy and explore “Tinkering” Which is similar to Stem. My curriculum is child-led and age appropriate to ensure I am teaching what the children are most interested in. Material are selected specifically for open ended exploration so they may explore with and without my guidance. We also Celebrate important Holidays and Birthdays. I encourage parents to share any ideas they might have for activities 😊
