Hola! I am Rosa Moreno, the founder of Moreno Family Child Care Wonderschool. As a mother of six kids, I was inspired to start my own program because I saw a need for high-quality care in my community. I have over 10 years of experience working with young children of all ages and abilities.
Philosophy
My goal is to help children with their necessities, preparing them for their first day of school with creative activities and high-quality childcare in a comfortable environment. I implement a preschool program and education for infants and toddlers. Children in my program participate in a variety of activities including reading, coloring, dramatic play, blocks, music appreciation, dance, and outdoor play. I aim to create a solid foundation for the education of each child.
Working in child care gave me the opportunity to encourage children to discover new adventures and provide fun enjoyable activities and more educational learning opportunities for their development. As a family child care provider, my goal is to provide a safe and happy environment for each child. I provide activities to stimulate their physical, intellectual, social and emotional growth at their own pace. I offer loving care that focuses on each child as a unique and wonderful individual. Your child will build self-esteem and respect for others.
I believe in having open, honest, and frequent communication with parents in my program. As your partner in caring for your child, my interactions with you the parent is as important as my interaction with your child. I encourage parents to be involved in the child care setting in order to get familiarized with your child’s surrounding and overall education. I will be holding an open house twice per year to give parents a chance to view their child’s activities and progress at Moreno Family Child Care Wonderschool.
Location
Moreno Family Child Care Wonderschool is located in a warm, welcoming single family home in the Boyle Heights neighborhood.
We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include a reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite), manipulatives and science area (for fine motor skills and beginning science concepts), and dramatic play area (for self-expression and empathy).
Children will have some outdoor time every day in my private outdoor space. Children need space to run, jump, and move!
At Moreno Family Child Care Wonderschool, I want to provide a loving home away from home.
