Hello! I am Rebeca Avila, the founder of Avila Family Child Care Wonderschool. I was inspired to start my own program because it has always been my dream to design my own space where children can blossom and grow. I have 17 years of experience working with young children.
I believe that my a big part of my job as a child care provider is to teach children fine motor skills, hygiene, good values and the basics they need for a strong educational foundation. I know that children need a routine, so I structure each day along with allowing time for indoor and outdoor free play.
I have four grown children of my own. While none of them currently live with me, we’re still a very close-knit family. I treat all children enrolled in my program like my own kids with warmth, attention and love.
Philosophy
At Avila Family Child Care Wonderschool, we provide an age-appropriate indoor and outdoor classroom for the best early education for infants and toddlers. Our program has been successfully operating since 2003. Many of the families in our program have stayed with us from when their children were babies until they were school-aged kids. Parents and children all love it here!
As a parent myself, I am familiar with the challenges of juggling a work schedule on top of ensuring your child is in a safe place. I provide exceptional care so that parents have the peace of mind that their child is in a nurturing environment where they’re learning and having fun.
Location
Avila Family Child Care Wonderschool is located in a welcoming, charming single family home in Los Angeles. We are conveniently located off the 5 and 110 freeways near Elysian Park/Dodger Stadium. Many of the parents in our program commute to work downtown or live in our family-friendly area.
Children will have plenty of outdoor time every day in my spacious private backyard. Children need space to run, jump, and move!

2. Tour our program
Come see what makes Avila Family Child Care Wonderschool unique. If we are currently hosting tours, you can request or schedule a tour at the top of this page. If we are not currently hosting tours, you’ll see a “Request Info” button at the top of this page; if you submit your information using this button, we will notify you when we start host tours again in the future.
3. Submit an Enrollment Application
If you would like to enroll, please submit an application – note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.
4. Enroll
After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
