Our Teachers

Kathryne Barracoso, Director

Kathryne Barracoso is a dedicated and passionate educator with a strong academic background. She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from California Trinity University. Her journey into early childhood education began at the Montessori Teacher Education Center, where she obtained her Early Childhood credentials. It was here that she discovered her love for working with children, which inspired her to start her own program.

Kathryne’s program is designed to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. She believes in the Montessori philosophy of education, which emphasizes hands-on learning, self-directed activity, and collaborative play. Her goal is to foster a love of learning in each child and to help them develop the skills they need to succeed in school and in life.

Philosophy

At our family daycare, we believe that play is the foundation of learning and development. Our philosophy is rooted in the Montessori approach, which emphasizes hands-on, child-centered learning. We strive to create a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can explore, discover, and grow at their own pace.

We respect each child’s individuality and encourage them to follow their interests. Play is a vital part of our curriculum. We provide a variety of play-based activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Our ultimate goal is to instill a lifelong love of learning in each child. We aim to create a positive and joyful learning experience that inspires curiosity, confidence, and a passion for discovery.

Location

Royale Daycare Wonderschool is located in a welcoming, spacious single family home in the Irvine neighborhood.

We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include dramatic play area (for self-expression and empathy), sensory area (for spatial awareness and learning through the five senses), and reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite).

Children will have some outdoor time everyday in my private yard or outdoor space. Children need space to run, jump, and move!

With a smaller group of children, we can offer more individualized attention and care. This ensures that each child’s unique needs and interests are met, promoting their overall development.

We believe in the importance of family involvement in a child’s education. We host events and celebrations for families, creating a strong sense of community and partnership between caregivers and parents.

Our Teachers are highly qualified and passionate about early childhood education. They bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to our program, ensuring that children receive the best possible care and education.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application at www.wonderschool.com/royale-daycare-wonderschool-3732/apply – Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
