Our Teachers

Hello! I am Shahnaz Tafreshi, the founder of Happy Home Daycare Wonderschool. I was inspired to start my own program because it has always been my dream to design my own space where children can blossom and grow. I have 11 years of experience working with young children.

As an mother of three, and aunt of 8, Shahnaz has decades of experience raising happy, healthy, well-adjusted children. She approaches all the children in her life with the same love and admiration she has for her own children; a doctor, a chiropractor and an aspiring attorney. 

To say that we firmly believe “it takes a village to raise a child” is an understatement. Coming from a tightly knit family, Shahnaz has assisted in raising her nieces and nephews, who collectively span across three decades.

Philosophy

Hello Parents! Please note that we are FULL for infants and not accepting tours for them at this time!

At Happy Home Daycare Wonderschool, we believe that children grow, learn, and thrive by feeling safe, loved, and nurtured. It is our goal to provide an environment that makes children feel welcomed and at home. In our program, children will feel genuinely cared for and cherished.

Location

Happy Home Daycare Wonderschool is located in a welcoming, bright single family home in the woodbury Irvine*

We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include block area (for gross motor skills and problem solving), reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite), and music and movement area (for physical activity and cultural learning).

Children will have some outdoor time everyday at mix of both my private yard and local parks and playgrounds. Connecting with nature is vital to a child’s happiness and growth.

At Happy Home Daycare Wonderschool, I want to provide a loving home away from home.

About our program

Caring for children and providing them with the right developmental activities have always been my passion. I love seeing their growth everyday and it always amazes me how quickly children learn.

From the time children arrive in the morning, children are taught how to properly greet and enter the home. They are given responsibilities such as putting away their coats, toys and dishes. We utilize a “positive reinforcement” system.

Each week, there is a primary topic that children will focus on with various activities. Topics centered around learning, fine and gross motor coordination, building healthy habits, developing strong interpersonal skills and much, much more. By learning through play, children will have a reading corner, dramatic play, and an art area all at their fingertips!

Parents are given daily reports and encouraged to continue the lessons as they see fit.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application at www.wonderschool.com/happy-home-daycare-wonderschool-3668/apply – Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
