Our Teachers

Hello! I am Araceli Gonzalez, the founder of Jhomely’s Child Care & Development Wonderschool. I named my program “Jhomely” after my two wonderful kids, Jonathan and Melanye. My kids are both in their 20s now and work at great companies. We are a close-knit family and enjoy spending time with each other. I have always loved working with kids, so I’m happy that running my in-home child care program allows me to be surrounded by little ones!

I was inspired to start my own program many years ago because it has always been my dream to design my own space where children can blossom and grow. I distinctly remember when I was in Kindergarten, I learned how to cook, draw and paint at school and my teacher offered plenty of hands-on, engaging activities. I think back to how fortunate I was to have a great early childhood education and that motivates me to provide all children in my community with opportunities to express their creativity.

Philosophy

At Jhomely’s Child Care & Development Wonderschool, I believe that safety and love are the most important components of running a child care program. Love helps children develop better self-esteem so they can become stronger and more independent. Safety to me means giving parents peace of mind that their children are in an environment that is clean, healthy, and secure every single day. I value communication and want families to trust that my program is the highest quality option in their area.

My goal is for children to value themselves and gain a solid early education that prepares them for school and beyond. I provide opportunities for children to learn from both teacher-led instruction and free play/self-directed learning. I offer the Creative Curriculum for children of all ages. In addition, I have thoughtfully designed my space with plenty of natural, wooden materials aligned to the Reggio Emilia philosophy. My program aims to be the perfect mix of relaxation, education and fun!
