Inspired by the proposition that education is the means by which we both discover our world and contribute to its transformation, and that one’s education is best pursued in the company of others, for others’ benefit as well as one’s own, Stevenson School has long been committed to a mission described by three central aims:

Our students are the center of everything we do. The dynamic culture in which they learn, grow, and thrive is the result of our teachers’ commitment to their craft, and innovative curriculum informed by time-tested principles and exemplary extracurricular programs, including robust after-school opportunities and team sports that balance competition and fun. Our inquiry-centered, project-based approach helps students succeed as learners, engage productively with others, and live with creativity, courage, and integrity.
