Our Teachers

Hello! I am Maritza Orellana, the founder of Orellana Family Child Care. I was inspired to start my own program because it has always been my dream to design my own space where children can blossom and grow. I am a local Glendora HS alumni. My higher educational background includes a hav a bachelors degree from Cal Poly Pomona and a masters degree from Kingston University London. I have 10 years of experience working with young children. I have previously provided therapeutic behavior services for children in home and in classroom. I’ve work for Pacific Clinics, Department of Family and Children Services and West Covina Unified School District in the Special Education Department. All in all, it has always been a dream to design and grow my own program.

Philosophy

Our program is a place where children can learn through doing, invent through making, and solve problems by working together. We believe that when children are truly engaged with their environment, magic happens.

About our program

Orellana Family Child Care seeks to provide kids with a home away from home. We want to ensure children feel loved and cared for, challenged, and cherished. We offer a flexible schedule for families and are excited to hear about your family’s needs!

Our curriculum focuses on encouraging the social, emotional and educational development of each child. Activities include academic activities, sign language lessons, outdoor time, gardening, and more. In the summer, we especially enjoy water days.
