Hi, I’m Ms. Katie and, like many others, my childcare journey started as the neighborhood babysitter. I served many families as a nanny with children of varying needs and, while a special education classroom assistant, I decided to become a teacher. While working on my degree I became a mom (instead) and was able to stay home for much of my own kiddos early years while tutoring. I found that my son was on the Autism Spectrum and his health and education became my highest priority. When I was able to continue my own education, I was surprised to find that I was closer to getting a Bachelors of Science in Communication Degree than to getting a teaching degree and decided it would be best for my family to take the faster route. I’m now returning to my first passion as a caregiver and teacher. I’ve been actively working with families since the Summer and am excited to be taking the steps to get my license as a daycare provider. I’m currently in the orientation phase and can open my home now as I work through the final steps of licensure. Thank you for considering me while you look for the right caregiver for your family.
