Our Teachers
Hello, welcome to our program! My name is Salem, the founder and director of Home home Child Care. I have a BSW in Social Work from West Virginia State University and I am working on my Child Development Certification through West Virginia University. I have been cared for young children for through college internships and being a parent myself. I am a parent of a 3 year-old daughter. I am passionate about early education and truly love having an impact on the earliest stage of children’s academic lives. I am excited to meet you and provide your children with the highest quality care and education.
Philosophy
At Home hope Child Care, we follow the play-based curriculum philosophy, which is a non-academic approach to developing skills designed to provide a firm foundation for later academic success. We help your child develop feelings of security, accomplishment, and self-esteem while living the daily and weekly rhythms that are woven into the cycle of the year. On any given day, we may enjoy art, storytelling, movement, and local excursions to experience the world around us. Children are encouraged to explore and learn through unstructured play, which fosters lifelong creativity and intellectual curiosity.
We incorporate Christian values in our childcare.
Location
We are located near Ginos / Tutors. If you are coming from downtown, you turn left at Ginos. If you are coming from Institute, you turn right before you get to Ginos.
We have a local playground nearby and located in a quiet neighborhood.
