Our Teachers

Hello, I am Janika and I am the director and head teacher at Sprout & Blossom Preschool. I graduated from Utah State University with degrees in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education. I taught kindergarten and 2nd grade in Utah before moving to beautiful Washington state.

I enjoy reading, visiting new places, and being out in nature. I love learning and am currently working on developing my skill in drawing, watercolor, and growing cut flowers. I have three children and who I love to go exploring with. We have a strong family culture of learning new things and I am excited to welcome your child into my home and share that with you.

Philosophy

Children are born natural learners and I create an environment in which they can satisfy their natural curiosity. This is a play based program that is heavily influenced by the work of Maria Montessori and Charlotte Mason. Children will gain experience through play in areas such as music, phonemic awareness, math, gardening, and engineering.

If we are not currently hosting tours, you’ll see a “Request Info” button at the top of this page; if you submit your information using this button, we will notify you when we start host tours again in the future.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application at www.wonderschool.com/sprout-&-blossom-preschool-9109/apply – note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.
