Mrs. Scott has been teaching for 13 years. Her education background includes and Bachelors in Biology Education from Norfolk State University, A Masters in Special Education from Cambridge College, and a Masters of Science in Education with a concentration in Vision Impairment from Dominican College of Blauvelt. Mrs. Scott holds a Teaching License with certifications Special Education, Vision Impairment, Gifted Education, Biology, Chemistry, and Middle School Science. She also holds Certificates as an ESL Teacher and is American Red Cross CPR Instructor. She is affiliated member of the Virginia Education Association, Kappa Delta Pi Honorary Society in Education, Girl Scouts of America Colonial Coast Troop Leader (Troop 313), and The Suffolk (VA) Chapter of The Links INC. Mrs. Scott has been married for 10 years and has 3 children ages 11,7, and 5. She enjoys Crafting, cooking, traveling, and shopping.

Philosophy
Our Program is divided into 2 education levels. These levels are put in place to ensure that your child’s developmental needs are met.
Level 1:
Level 1 is geared to our 2 and 3-year-old students. At this level, the students are learning the basic fundamentals needed to build a strong foundation. These students are learning to explore through art, music, dramatic play, using fine motor skills, learning about nature and science, as well as also learning to interact with one another, how to follow a schedule.
Level 2:
Level 2 is geared to our 4 and 5-year-old students. These students are beginning to make the transition from preschool to pre-k to kindergarten. In this level, the students begin a more structured academic program. Students begin to learn math, writing, language art, science, and social studies. In this level, students begin to learn sight words and read sight word readers. When our students complete level to each student is well prepared for a successful kindergarten school year.
