Meet Mrs. Hailey! Foundations Learning Institute emerged from her deep passion for Early Childhood Education and her desire to improve upon the limitations she encountered in traditional/commercial daycare settings. As a mother of three, Hailey personally faced challenges like high staff turnover, a lack of individualized care, and the toll these issues took on her children, particularly in managing separation anxiety. Motivated by these experiences, she envisioned a nurturing childcare environment where children feel secure, develop meaningful connections with caregivers, and thrive in small groups. At Foundations Learning Institute, most children stay from enrollment through kindergarten, benefiting from the continuity of care and stability.
In collaboration with her sister, a licensed child therapist, Hailey developed a unique curriculum centered on play-based learning, with a strong emphasis on mental health and emotional well-being. The curriculum includes lessons on emotional regulation, self-care, identifying and managing emotions, and various coping techniques. Additionally, Hailey incorporates sign language into daily routines, further enhancing communication and inclusivity. Hailey holds a CDA credential, is licensed with the state of Texas, and has spent over a decade engaged in child psychology. After 5 years of experience as a nanny and a subsequent career in the corporate world, she realized her true calling was to create an environment where she could make a lasting, positive impact on children’s lives. This realization led her to launch Foundations Learning Institute.
Philosophy
Researched and accredited, our curriculum is designed to inspire your child’s curiosity, discover core learning concepts, promote cognitive development, and spark creativity through engaging, hands-on activities. From the start, we aim to cultivate a lifelong love of learning. With the expertise of a renowned school psychologist, we integrate play-based learning with unique lessons in emotional regulation, self-care, and emotional intelligence. Our approach ensures your child not only gains essential academic skills but also learns how to understand and manage their emotions in a supportive environment. You will love seeing your child’s activities when they bring home something new and exciting daily!
At Foundations Learning Institute, we integrate sign language into our curriculum and daily routines, offering children a powerful tool for communication from an early age. Learning sign language helps enhance cognitive development, improves fine motor skills, and supports language acquisition. By introducing sign language early, we help children build confidence, express themselves more effectively, and strengthen their social and emotional connections with others.
