Philosophy
Nature’s Schoolhouse follows a progressive, constructivist, and nature-based philosophy, blending structured academics with hands-on experiences, outdoor exploration, and free play. This approach emphasizes whole-child development, fosters curiosity and collaboration, and provides a calm, supportive environment where learners build confidence and a genuine love of learning.
Location
We are located at Rockbridge Church in Cedar Park, Texas. Nestled on over 10 acres of land, our location provides ample space for outdoor exploration, free play, and, when the weather cooperates, outdoor learning. Our unique setting allows children to enjoy both structured academics and unstructured outdoor time, creating a balanced and engaging educational experience.
Our indoor space is thoughtfully designed to provide a peaceful, low-stress environment where children can focus on their academic work while also encouraging socialization and community. We maintain a multi-age learning environment, where students are able to mingle during the day, creating meaningful relationships across age groups.
We are conveniently located near family-friendly neighborhoods, parks, and schools, making our program easily accessible for families in Cedar Park, Jonestown, Leander, Round Rock, and North Austin. While our setting is private and nature-rich, we are still just minutes from major roads and highways, making drop-off and pick-up convenient for busy families.
About our program
We provide a drop-off program for PK-6th grade students that blends structured academics, outdoor exploration, and a supportive community. Our unique model offers community and educator-guided learning, while allowing families the freedom to travel, join sports teams, engage in hands-on enrichment, or simply relax in the afternoons. On Mondays, our Discovery Days program offers a full-day experience with hands-on, project-based learning.
We believe that education should be flexible, engaging, and stress-free. Students learn at their own pace with structured support, ensuring they stay on track academically while having plenty of time for outdoor play, socialization, and creativity. Families at Nature’s Schoolhouse enjoy seasonal celebrations, community events, and group field trips that foster connection and shared learning experiences. Our small class sizes, dedicated educators, and individualized learning paths ensure that every student progresses in a way that works best for them.
