Hello! My name is Pat Harris, the founder of Pat’s Wonderschool. I’m a native of New York. I’m a mother and a grandmother. I was inspired to start my own program because it has always been my dream to design my own space where children can blossom and grow.
I have a CDA in family child care and 30 years of experience working with young children in licensed child care centers and various programs. I’m director certified through the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services-child care licensing division.
I enjoy interacting with children, seeing the look of amazement on their faces when they accomplish a task or learn something new is simply priceless.
Testimonials
“Ms. Pat’s Wonderschool gives children everything they need for a healthy early learning experience. She’s attentive to the needs of every child and you can definitely tell that she loves the children & they love her.”
Philosophy
At Pat’s Wonderschool, we believe that children learn by experimentation, exploration, and collaboration. It is our goal to provide a learning environment that inspires children’s imagination and creativity. In our program, children will feel supported to learn and grow at their own pace.
Our goal is to provide a carefree learning space where children can develop high self-esteem, positive social interactions and healthy character traits. When children feel happy and secure in their environment they soar mentally and emotionally.
Location
Pat’s Wonderschool is located in a welcoming, charming single family home in the Colonial Estates neighborhood of Arlington, Texas. Our school is nestled in a two story home with a den converted classroom and large living area for extended play.
There’s plenty of space for the children to discover their own capabilities. Our large fenced in backyard area allows children plenty of outdoor space for connecting with nature. Through daily outdoor play children are able to run, jump and explore!
About our program
Pat’s Wonderschool provides activities that enrich the child’s learning experience! Children will enjoy open ended play that promotes critical thinking and creativity. Learning centers are structured throughout the learning environment to build positive social interactions and play skills.
