Our Teachers

Kiara Able, Director

Kiara graduated from the Walden University in 2025 with an Early Childhood Studies degree. In 2022, she realized her dream of having her own in-home childcare program after the birth of her fourth child. Her favorite thing about what she does is developing relationships with the children and their families. She believes that small class size and the development of a strong community allow her and her team to really know each child as an individual and to provide a solid and supportive foundation in the early years.

Philosophy

At our school, we strive to create a safe and caring community of young explorers inspired by a play-based philosophy. In our early program, we view play as a vital part of learning. It encourages children to explore, take risks, and solve problems through play.

Location

We’re located on the Avenues of West Columbia, 2 miles away from the University of South Carolina.

At Alex Able Academy, our program stands out for nurturing children’s learning and growth. With a hands-on approach, we foster cognitive and motor skills, social interactions, and emotional well-being. Children experience a unique focus on experiential learning, tailored to early childhood education and development.

If we are not currently hosting tours, you’ll see a “Request Info” button at the top of this page; if you submit your information using this button, we will notify you when we start host tours again in the future.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application If you’re interested in enrolling, submit an application by selecting Apply to enroll. If this option if not available, you can message the program director.
