Our Teachers
Hi! My name is Briauna. I’m sole owner, licensed and operating since 2015. I provide in-home daycare in Springfield Oregon, in a well known Thurston neighborhood.
Before opening my own daycare, I gained valuable experience working at a daycare center in Eugene, where I cared for infants and toddlers. In addition to providing nurturing, hands-on care in the classroom, I also played a key role in the administrative side of the program. I assisted with paperwork and DHS billing, gave tours to prospective families, and managed phone communications. This experience helped me develop a strong understanding of both quality childcare and the importance of supporting families through clear communication and organization.
Testimonials
Why Families Love Our Daycare!
Families choose our daycare because we provide more than just childcare — we provide a safe, loving, and engaging environment where children truly feel at home. We maintain all requirements to hold an active childcare license and stay current with ongoing education to ensure the highest level of care and safety. I am certified in Infant, Child, and Adult CPR and First Aid, and I hold a current Food Handler certification. I complete all required trainings through the Early Learning Division Office of Child Care, along with additional professional development focused on health and safety, social and emotional growth, and the foundations of early learning. My completed core trainings include: • Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse • Infant Safe Sleep • DHS Orientation to Accept State Pay • Foundations for Learning • Background Check and Fingerprinting • Fire Safety, Emergency Preparedness, and Monthly Drills But what families appreciate most isn’t just the training — it’s the care, communication, and connection. Parents love that we keep a smaller group size, allowing for more one-on-one attention and strong relationships. They value our structured daily routine, educational focus, and creative activities that help prepare children for the future. They also appreciate open communication, reliability, and knowing their child is in a clean, safe, and nurturing environment each day. Over the years, I’ve been blessed to work with many wonderful families and build lasting relationships. I am happy to provide references from both current and past families who can share their experiences. My goal is always to create a place where children feel secure, supported, and excited to learn — and where parents feel confident and at peace leaving their little ones in my care.
Philosophy
The philosophy of my in-home daycare is rooted in my passion for children and their families. I am committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and welcoming environment where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to grow. I believe in focusing on each child’s individual needs while helping prepare them for what comes next after childcare. Through structured routines, hands-on learning, creative activities, and play-based experiences, children build the academic, social, and emotional skills they need for preschool and kindergarten readiness. My goal is to create a space where children feel confident to explore, learn, and be themselves. I strive to support not only the children in my care but also their families by building strong, trusting relationships and maintaining open communication. Above all, I believe early childhood should be filled with joy, creativity, security, and meaningful learning experiences that lay a strong foundation for the future.

About our program
We love to have fun, stay hands-on, and get creative each day! Our daycare is an energetic and engaging environment where children stay active and involved while their parents are away. We enjoy a healthy balance of indoor and outdoor play, giving children opportunities to explore, learn, and grow in a variety of ways. We love meeting new friends and keeping in touch with the families who have been part of our program over the years! A little more about our program: We provide a very clean, safe home in a wonderful neighborhood where children can feel comfortable and secure. We are a licensed in-home daycare (License #504767) and follow a consistent daily schedule that helps children thrive with structure and routine. Our program is educational and thoughtfully designed for early learning. We use preschool materials and a mixed learning style that combines creative activities, play-based learning, and the reading program “Miss Debbie’s Road to Reading.” We also provide a monthly program calendar that highlights our Letter of the Month, themed crafts, and activities designed specifically around each month. We do lots of arts and crafts, including holiday-specific projects that children love bringing home to share with their families! Creativity is a big part of our day. We gather for daily circle time, which includes songs, books, music, movement, yoga, games, and more. Circle time encourages confidence, listening skills, and group participation in a fun and supportive way. When we are indoors, we enjoy table activities, group learning experiences, and individualized activities tailored to each child’s developmental level. We maintain a smaller group setting of just 6–7 children per day, allowing for more one-on-one attention and meaningful connections. Children also enjoy a variety of indoor sensory activities as well as outdoor play. Outside time includes both teacher-led activities and free play, encouraging imagination, movement, and social development. We proudly participate in the USDA food program, providing nutritious meals each day including breakfast, lunch, snacks, and the occasional dinner. Rates are based on a flat monthly fee. We offer both full-time and part-time care (part-time availability requires a minimum of 3 days per week). We are happy to provide many wonderful references from both past and current families. If you would like more information or would like to schedule a meet-and-greet, please call 541-505-4479. I would love to connect with you and see if we are a great fit for your family! 😊 I’m most easily reached by phone, as I don’t regularly monitor website communications.
