Our Teachers
I am a mom of 7 with children ranging from 4 years-21 years of age. I have always wanted to open a home daycare and I began the steps to become licensed in 2022. I have received many certificates and am currently working towards a degree in early childhood education. My favorite thing about running a home daycare is developing relationships with the children I teach and their families. I love getting to know each child and watching them grow through creative play and exploration.
Location
Located in a quiet neighborhood in St.Helens, OR, I am within walking distance to nearby parks and bus transportation to and from Lewis and Clark elementary. Being with a mile to everything, we do frequent field trips to the library, Wildflower play, and parks.
About our program
At my home daycare, I teach the concepts of math, science, engineering, art, social sciences and early literacy through a play-based, child-led curriculum. I use the interests and ideas of the children as a jumping off place. The materials are open-ended and invite discovery. Children make their own investigations and draw their own conclusions whenever possible.
