Tiffiny Graven, Owner & Provider

Tiffiny has a degree in Child and Family Studies, enrolled in Oregon’s Central Background Registry, Pediatric CPR, First Aid certified, and current Food Handlers. She has over 20 years of childcare experience from nanny, Teacher’s Assistant, Provider, Community Outreach Consultant, as well as a mother to 2 daughters. Volunteers as a Board Member with Multnomah County Commission for Economic Dignity, Sellwood Smile Station Housing Solutions, and The National Low Income Housing Coalition as a Blog Writer and Advocate.

Our childcare facility’s philosophy is rooted in providing a warm and nurturing environment for children. We aim to meet each child’s individual needs and interests through play-based learning that promotes their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth. Our approach includes offering personalized attention, using positive discipline techniques, and fostering a sense of respect, cooperation, and self-control. We value respect, nurturing, learning, and community, creating a supportive environment where children feel safe and encouraged to explore and grow at their own pace. Parents can expect a safe, caring environment, experienced caregivers, opportunities for social and emotional development, exposure to various learning experiences, and open communication and collaboration. About our program

Join our nurturing community childcare in the Buckman neighborhood of lower SE Portland. Venture in Care-NIHT OWL provides the freedom of discovery, curiosity, with the guidance and support of licensed professionals, with over 20 years of experience. Children are encouraged to explore in secure, safe, and fun outdoor space, enhancing their cognitive and motor development. Our approach is focusedon child lead curriculum. Children evolve moment by moment, adjusting and aligning our materials and daily learning to your child’s needs.

    Arrival - Quiet play/Choice play
  • 8:00-8:45am
    Breakfast-Bathroom/ wash up /Choice of solo or family style. Children involved in preparation.
  • 8:45-9:15am
    Circle Time-Tummy Adjust/ Discuss calendar/ Daily activities/Share and celebrate notable events (b-day ect.)
