Ms Symone:
Hello everyone! I am Ms. Symone, the proud owner and director of VivaKids Preschool! We all have to agree that COVID pandemic has brought many challenges to our lives. I found myself without a job because the preschool I was teaching at closed. So I had to reinvent myself and started tutoring kids at my home, which sparked in me the desire to open my own preschool. I commit to sharing my values as well as my Brazilian background and culture with everyone here at VivaKids. Although I am fluent in 3 languages (Spanish being the third), there is no better way to express love than in my first language. I feel privileged being able to show love to my Vivakids at my full potential! I have two wonderful kids who are now preteens. Together, we enjoy making music, cooking, playing board games, and many other outdoor activities including hiking, camping, SUPing, and traveling. Something new I have been learning is how to play the piano so I can provide a more engaging atmosphere to our Vivakids during our devotional and music time. It amazes me how children find joy in the simple pleasures, how quick they are to accept others without judgement, how they live in the moment and see no limitations for who they want to be or what they want to accomplish. For these reasons and many more, teaching has been my passion since day 1. It is a mutual learning experience!!! I welcome you and your little one with open arms to our Viva family where together we will do GREAT things!
Philosophy
VIVAKIDS PROVIDES AN AUTHENTIC AND JOYFUL PRESCHOOL EXPERIENCE. With a bilingual format, our curriculum is child directed. Kids, with help from our teachers, can choose their own tasks and activities. They can also work at their own pace and level , as they are not constrained by a one-size-fits-all curriculum. It is our belief that a quality program offers both structured and unstructured activities that encourage children to plan and think about what they are doing. Our materials are mostly made out of wood, glass, brass, wicker, cotton and metal. These materials provide a multi-sensory experience for the child and part of that is the visual appeal that results in a calm, prepared learning environment.
Location
Our childcare is on Imlay near TVhighway. Our house is entirely dedicated to our children. Fully fenced backyard. Beautiful facility.
Our preschool is near Baseline and Cornelius Pass. We are located in a beautiful tucked away home in Hillsboro, surrounded by trees and green spaces.
About our program
Our Viva team meets the high qualifications and standards required by the state. We are located in beautiful tucked away homes in Hillsboro, surrounded by trees and green spaces. Our homes are completely dedicated to our children, where our child size furniture, toys and materials are appropriately placed with our children in mind. We welcome children ages 6 weeks old to 2 years old at our childcare program, and we welcome children ages 3 to 5 at our preschool. We maintain a media-free environment with a curriculum that includes morning devotional, music and movement, practical life activities, arts and crafts, language, math and science. We also provide nutritious homemade breakfast, lunch and snacks for our students. We strive to create a safe, fun and loving environment, where our kids will be respected by who they are, making them feel like an irreplaceable member of our Viva family!
