Camy Jefferson, Program Director - Camy came to BCCCC with many years’ experience working with children and families, including working as a Family Advocate for Head Start, a home visitor with Healthy Families of Oregon and facilitating parenting classes throughout Coos and Curry Counties as a Parent Educator. “I am always available, as are any of our teachers, if you ever have any questions or things that you would like to discuss. I can honestly say that we really care about our kids and their families, and I hope that you will feel that when you enroll your child into or program.”
Katia Elliott, Lead Infant/Toddler Teacher - Katia was born and raised in Moscow Russia where she studied Early Childhood Development. Prior to coming to BCCCC, Katia worked in licensed child care center as a lead infant toddler teacher for 16 years. She loves building relationships with children and families and appreciates every parent for what they do and for sharing their precious babies with her. “We all have something to contribute, and my goal is to bring peace, joy and a sense of belonging.”
Dallas Brown, Infant/Toddler Teacher - Dallas joined the team at BCCCC after many years working with children and families at Head Start. With his experience and training Dallas has been a great addition to the infant/toddler classroom.
Deana Oberst, Lead Preschool Teacher - Before coming to BCCCC, Deana had 16 years of experience with Head Start as a preschool teacher, and 3 years of experience working for South Coast Family Harbor as a Teacher/Home visitor. She has lived here on the South Coast for 20+ years and enjoys the small community. “I am enjoying being in our new Center where the children and I can keep growing and learning together. Parents are always welcome to come to me with any questions or concerns.”
Kessa Buckout, Preschool Teacher - Kessa is a student of life and a teacher of those experiences. Growing up, her mom was a Sunday school teacher and a daycare provider. Her love of teaching was instilled early, and she always knew she would be a teacher. Kessa was a preschool teacher for eleven years in California and spent a little time being a caregiver to some of the sweetest little ladies, while living in Grants Pass. She worked as a Head Start teacher for over 6 years and loves art, reading a good book and being outdoors. “I am so excited to be part of the BCCCC family and look forward to getting to know the kids as well as the families.”

Philosophy
We believe that play is a child’s work and children learn best through nurturing interactions. Our philosophy is to make learning fun and enjoyable, creating a warm, welcoming, safe, and loving environment that promotes positive self-esteem and holistic development through intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth. Active play is at the core of our approach.
Location
We are located behind Ocean Crest Elementary School. Families can access our building from 11th Street SW, across the street from the Bandon Youth Center.
About our program
Bandon Community Child Care Center (BCCCC) is a licensed child care center that owned and operated by South Coast Business Employment Corporation, Inc. (SCBEC). The program offers full day child care for working families. Through SCBEC’s mission, to be a leader in social impact, the agency effects change with an end result of thriving people living in vibrant communities. Through our partnerships with SCBEC, the Bandon School District, and funding through various philanthropy organizations, including Bandon Dunes Wild Rivers Coast Alliance, the Ford Family Foundation, Western Oregon Advanced Health and others, BCCCC is able to offer a safe, and nurturing environment where your child will flourish.
