Our Teachers

Hello! I am Lana Lai-Fook, the founder of Kids kozy comfort zone . I was inspired to start my own program because it has always been my dream to design my own space where children can blossom and grow. I have 20 years of experience working with young children.

I opened this program in 2005, and have been caring for children here ever since. I am also a proud mother to two - my eldest plays football at UConn, and my youngest is in school locally!

Philosophy

At Kids Kozy Comfort Zone , we believe that children grow, learn, and thrive by feeling safe, loved, and nurtured. It is our goal to provide an environment that makes children feel welcomed and at home. In our program, children will feel supported as they engage with new ideas and learnings.

Our program is located in a single-family home, where an entire level is devoted to providing care to children of all ages! We are located in Queens’ South Ozone Park, a short drive from both JFK and right off 678.

Children will have some outdoor time everyday at mix of both my private yard and local parks and playgrounds. Connecting with nature lets children gain deeper knowledge of themselves and the world.

About our program

We build a foundation for literacy and school! After children leave Kids Kozy Comfort Zone, they are prepared for school. We loved reading and celebrating books, and children gain critical language skills as they talk with us about different topics and stories we cover during circle time.

Children have the chance to foster creativity. With plenty of time in the day devoted to art, painting, drawing, and other open-ended activities, at Kids Kozy Comfort Zone we let children explore.

We believe that in-home child care gives us the chance to get to know you deeply. You become part of our family here, and this means we know your child from a young age until they leave for school. We provide frequent updates on your child’s development and partner with parents.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application! Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
