Our Teachers

Hello! My name is Altagracia, and I bring 15 years of experience working with children to GeRandy’s Family Daycare & Wonderschool. I began taking care of one child from my neighborhood many years ago, and eventually decided I wanted to open my own program where I could help many families. I am passionate about providing children with a safe and structured environment that helps them to learn through play.

Philosophy

Here at GeRandy’s Family Daycare & Wonderschool, we believe that providing a structured and safe environment for children gives them a chance to learn and grow. We are a play-based program, and believe giving kids a variety of fun activities to choose from and to do during guided play is the best way to help them develop.

Location

Our childcare is located in a single-family home with a backyard that children use for outside time. We are located near the border of Glendale, and Ridgewood, near Evergreen Park and the Halsey station on the L.

About our program

We will help your child get ready for school and life. Getting to work with children at a young age means we can help them explore the world around them. We will help them start to work with letters, numbers, shapes, and colors!

This program is a Spanish-immersion program. We will spend our day speaking Spanish to the children, and they will gain confidence responding and interacting with us in Spanish whether that is the language spoken at home or not.

We provide healthy meals. Children love the rice and beans, but we participate in a local food program and serve healthy fruits and vegetables each day.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application! Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
