Our Teachers
My name is Araceli Morocho and I am a proud mother and the director of Araceli Group Family Daycare & Wonderschool. I have worked as a provider since 2013 and not only have my CPR and first aid certificates but my CDA from New York!
Philosophy
At Araceli Family Daycare & Wonderschool we are a Spanish immersion and play-based program. While children are playing, we are able to use the real world examples from blocks, legos, or toys to connect them to shapes, colors, and figures from the real world. Our conversations during play are a big part of learning!
Location
Our program is on the third floor of an apartment building in the Ridgewood neighborhood of Queens. We are just a short few blocks away from the DeKalb Ave on the L train. Our outdoor time happens through walks around the block and a nearby park.
About our program
A monthly theme helps drive our curriculum and grow vocabulary. Whether it’s during circle time or in the activities that I create for the children during free play time, these themes are woven into our day-to-day.
Children love the food we cook for them. The traditional food that I prepare comes from my culture - kids enjoy fresh, nutritional meals each day.
This is a Spanish immersion program. We spend our entire day speaking this language and support vocabulary development for each child regardless of what they speak at home.
