Our Teachers

Hello! I am Priscilla, the founder of Future Prints Harlem Daycare. I was inspired to start my own program because it has always been my dream to design my own space where children can blossom and grow. I have 6 years of experience working with young children.

I have a Bachelors of Science in Health Sciences from Stony Brook University.  After attending countless hours of training in child care and obtaining my Child Development Associate (CDA), I can truly say that as an educator I will continue to pursue my career in Early Childhood Education.  I am currently pursuing my graduate degree in Early education from Bank Street College, implementing a progressive learning environment for our children.

Philosophy

Future Prints Harlem is a dual language program that provides top quality care and education to children ages 6 weeks to 7 years old. Each child will be part of a happy, healthy, and educational environment, while being immersed in the Spanish language. Exceeding all New York state and local guidelines of Health and Safety is one of our top priorities. We are a group family daycare who provides not only a child care service but also a family nurturing setting that will help our little ones achieve their key milestones.

Our flexible curriculum gives each child the opportunity to build their individual strengths and talents, while allowing them to learn new skills and expand their development. We provide enriching opportunities every day for our children to reach their full potential socially, emotionally, physically, intellectually and cognitively within a learning environment.

Future Prints Harlem is dual language program. Our bilingual staff immerse children to Spanish in a way that is fun and age appropriate and use an award-winning curriculum.

As the children play and explore, we will immerse them in the Spanish language. If they remain in our program, we may immerse them in another language, taking advantage of the brain’s amazing capacity to acquire language in early childhood.

In our program we use “The Creative Curriculum” which supports effective teaching and the children’s development and learning.

We provide a balance between choice and structured activities, which include circle time, arts & crafts, science, reading /literacy & numeracy, colors, shapes, pretend play, sensory play, outdoor play, visits to our local library among many other activities. We also work closely with parents to achieve individual goals.

We teach our children life skills that go beyond reading, writing, and math. Our goal is for each child to developed social, emotional, physical, and intellectual skills, while in our care.

We never miss an opportunity to educate. Everything that happens in our classroom is a learning opportunity, from interactions and meals to singing and playing.

Extra curricular activities are also part of our weekly schedule; Yoga, dance and movement, and many others.

Academic specials include science class introducing children Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) with Ms. Stephanie and Music class with Ms. Ashley!

Future Prints is committed to providing the highest quality early childhood education and care to our children. We update our curriculum frequently to support our children’s early education and development.

We are a home away from for every family we serve!

Location

Future Prints Harlem Daycare is located in a welcoming, cozy apartment in the Hamilton Heights, Harlem neighborhood.

We’ve thoughtfully designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include block area (for gross motor skills and problem solving), reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite), and dramatic play area (for self-expression and empathy).

Children will have some outdoor time everyday at a local park or playground. Children need space to run, jump, and move!

At Future Prints Harlem Daycare, I want to provide an environment that supports the cognitive, social, and emotional growth of each child.
