Hello! I am Argelia Paulino, the founder of AP Kids Wonderschool. I was inspired to start my own program because it has always been my dream to design my own space where children can blossom and grow. I saw a need for high quality care in my environment, and I love working with children. I have two of my own children and enjoy working with children of different ages in my home each day. I have 15 years of experience working with young children.
I have two wonderful assistant teachers who join our program and work with the AP Kids Wonderschool family. Our students love play with them every day at school!

Philosophy
Welcome to AP Kids Wonderschool! As the school director, it is my mission to make sure my program feels like a home away from home for you and your children. I know your search for childcare is an important one, and I am here to answer your questions to make sure you feel confident in finding the right fit for your childcare needs.
We value allowing children to explore their environment and allowing their curiosity to lead them through our space. Our spaces are designed to allow for self-service, meaning children can play with the materials and toys as their attention and interests change. We also value outdoor exploration and believe that developing an early connection with nature is key in childhood development.
Location
AP Kids Wonderschool is located in a welcoming, inviting apartment in the Upper West Side neighborhood.
We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite), dramatic play area (for self-expression and empathy), and block area (for gross motor skills and problem solving).
Children will have some outdoor time everyday at a local park. Connecting with nature lets children gain deeper knowledge of themselves and the world. At AP Kids Wonderschool, I want to provide an enriching environment where children feel free to explore and play.
About our program
At our school, we feel your child’s development in all aspects are key. We use the interests and ideas of the children as a jumping off place. The materials are open-ended and invite discovery. Children make their own investigations and draw their own conclusions whenever possible.

Come see what makes AP Kids Wonderschool unique. Please schedule a tour or attend an Open House event.
3. Submit an Enrollment Application
If you would like to enroll, please submit an application. Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.
4. Enroll
After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
