Our Teachers

Hello! My name is Aracelis Garcia and I am the founding director at ANG Daycare & Wonderschool, which became licensed in 2009. My primary motivation to open this program was the chance to support the growth of my own daughter - I realized how much I enjoyed working with kids and realized that many other parents in my community wanted a place they were confident would be safe and secure.

I have my CDA from New York in addition to 5 hours toward my CPR and safety courses. In addition, I work with a local food program to ensure that I meet key nutritional guidelines based on each child’s age.

Philosophy

At ANG Daycare & Wonderschool we prioritize making sure that each child in our care feels supported. When we do that, children are comfortable exploring and playing, which is how they learn best; we can then have discussions with them about all the things they see around them: shapes, colors, and everything the real world holds!

Location

Our program is located in a safe apartment building at the intersection of Wadsworth Terrace and Fairview Ave. We spend outdoor time walking around the neighborhood and sometimes at local parks. Our program is conveniently located near the 1 line’s 191st St stop as well as the M3 and M191 lines.

About our program

The children’s interests guide our plan. We watch and observe children throughout the day, which helps us pick activities for them.

This is a Spanish immersion program. No matter what language is spoken at home, children will build a strong foundation as Spanish speakers and listeners.

We love to support children’s path to independence. When I can observe what children are able to do, I love supporting them to their next level of development.

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application here! Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
