Our Teachers

Hello and welcome! I am Ms. KD, the founder of PlayCare of America. I have over 15 years of experience working with young children. I was inspired to start my own program because it has always been my dream to design my own space where children can blossom and grow.

Philosophy

At PlayCare of America, we believe that children grow, learn, and thrive by following their own unique style of discovery. It is our goal to provide an environment that helps each child to feel confident and capable. In our program, children will feel supported as they engage with new ideas and learnings.

Location

PlayCare of America is located in a bright, beautiful single family home in the Coram neighborhood.

We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include music and movement area (for physical activity and cultural learning), dramatic play area (for self-expression and empathy), and nature area (for discovering nature and science concepts).

Children will have plenty of outdoor time everyday in my private yard. Children need space to run, jump, and move!

At PlayCare of America, I want to provide an enriching environment where children feel free to explore and play.

2. Tour our program

Come see what makes PlayCare of America unique. If we are currently hosting tours, you can request or schedule a tour at the top of this page. If we are not currently hosting tours, you’ll see a “Request Info” button at the top of this page; if you submit your information using this button, we will notify you when we start host tours again in the future.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application – note that we require tours for all prospective families.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
