Hello! I am Miriam Duran, the founder of Whipple Learning Cove Wonderschool. I was inspired to start my own program because it has always been my dream to design my own space where children can blossom and grow. After encouragement from my family, I decided to leave my previous job and follow my passion for taking care of children. I have 3 years of experience working in in-home child care and am so thrilled I made this career change!

Philosophy
Whipple Cove is a nurturing environment where children are encouraged to explore their creativity. Our home away from home is a place for happy kids to feel loved and appreciated. We can’t wait to welcome you into our energetic environment!
Location
Whipple Learning Cove Wonderschool is located in an inviting, warm condominium in the East Williamsburg neighborhood.
We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include dramatic play area (for self-expression and empathy), reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite), and art area (for expressing emotions and ideas).
Children will have some outdoor time everyday at a local park or playground. Connecting with nature lets children gain deeper knowledge of themselves and the world.
At Whipple Learning Cove Wonderschool, I want to provide an environment that supports the cognitive, social, and emotional growth of each child.
About our program
At Whipple Cove we are committed to creating a supportive environment where children have the autonomy and independence to be who they are.
We strive to make each child feel loved and welcomed, from the moment they walk in the door in the morning. It’s not uncommon for us to start our day with a hug.
Open communication with parents is very important to us. At drop-off and pick-up we make sure to check in with parents about the child’s mood, how their day went, and anything that will make the transition from home to school easier.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application
If you would like to enroll, please submit an application at www.wonderschool.com/whipple-learning-cove-wonderschool-2543/apply – Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.
4. Enroll
After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
