Philosophy
Our Place is a safe and nurturing space for all. A child’s journey is also a caregiver’s journey so we try to make sure everyone involved in the child’s day to day life is included.
We are Montessori inspired, we use the creative play curriculum. Children are encourage to be independent. We want children not to be discouraged to try things on their own, so we model things for them, so they can gain that confidence to try things out without discouragement.
We strive on our space being our home away from home, so we make sure to care for the space. Our children will be asked to help clean up as well as water plants, this makes a big impact on their self awareness and will help them want to be more caring about their environment. Imagination, creativity and exploration are essential to a child’s development, We love creating art and displaying it in the space but we also make sure children are exploring different spaces in the classroom.
During circle time we sing songs in both English and Spanish, we are constantly immersing both languages together. You will see English and Spanish words and books throughout the space. We offer yoga for all as well as music and movement each and everyday.
