Our Teachers

My name is Yanery Escorbores, and I’m the director of Hope of the Future Wonderschool Childcare. I have more than 10 years of experience serving my community in Brooklyn. Since I was six years old, I knew that when I grew up, I wanted to be a teacher. From a very young age, I enjoyed teaching the children at my mother’s childcare in the Dominican Republic. In 2002, I came to the United States to begin my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. In 2005, I received my Preschool CDA (Child Development Associate) Credential, which opened new doors for me to work in a daycare center and thus start my career in early childhood education. In 2009, I opened my own childcare program - that’s when my passion for this beautiful profession began. I love working with children of different ages and seeing the growth from when the children arrive at our program to when they leave our program, ready to start a new stage in school. One of the things that I am most passionate about is working with children in the areas of socio-emotional and language development.

My name is Noemi Sosa, and I am the on-site provider of Hope of the Future Wonderschool Childcare. Soon after I arrived in the United States in 2013, I met Yanery Escorbores. She gave me the opportunity to be part of the wonderful family at the Hope of the Future Wonderschool Childcare. In 2015, I obtained my Family Childcare CDA Credential, which allowed me to expand my knowledge in different areas of early childhood learning and development. I really enjoy working with our children.

My name is Franciola Castillo, and I am an assistant at Hope of the Future Wonderschool Childcare. I arrived in the United States in 2017, and in 2018, started working at our wonderful program. I have always liked working with children because they not only have a lot to learn from us - we also have a lot to learn from them.

My name is Evelyn Jorge, and I am an assistant at Hope of the Future Wonderschool Childcare. Soon after I arrived in the United States in 2016, I became part of our wonderful family at Hope of the Future and have been able to develop my professional skills as a teacher. Working at Hope of the Future has given me the opportunity to help children in different areas of their learning and be part of each child’s development.

Testimonials

“Hope of the Future Daycare has cared for our daughter from the time she was 7 months old. She thrived under her teachers’ loving care and entered pre-K a happy, confident, well-socialized child. The Spanish environment provided an important introduction not just to another language, but to the unequaled diversity of her hometown. Our daughter still attends Hope of the Future on school holidays and during summer break, an opportunity we as parents are grateful for and which she is very happy about.  She often misses her daycare teachers and friends during the school year and longs to visit.”

Philosophy

The purpose of Hope of the Future is to offer a holistic education where children can develop in all areas of learning.

We believe each child is special and their personal strengths shine when they are in a cooperative learning environment with activities that allow for everyone to grow, learn, and have fun together.

Our program focuses on physical, emotional, social, and cultural development, where each child has the opportunity to interact with their community. We learn through hands-on activities, art, songs, rhymes, and narrating stories.

Location

Hope of the Future Wonderschool is located in a inviting, cozy condominium in the Bushwick neighborhood.

We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include manipulatives and math area (for fine motor skills and beginning math concepts), reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite), and block area (for gross motor skills and problem solving).

Children will have some outdoor time everyday at a local park or playground. Children need space to run, jump, and move!

At Hope of the Future Wonderschool, I want to provide a loving home away from home.
