Our Teachers
My name is Angie Pierre and I am the founding director of Bright Beginnings Daycare. First and foremost, I am a parent myself and I came to crossroads when I had my second child - I recognized that the care I wanted and expected wasn’t easily accessible. While I had always thought about working in education, this inspired me to jump in and open my own program! My husband is a licensed teacher, and he had been in the education field before we started Bright Beginnings. Not only did we want our own kids to have quality care, but we wanted to provide a service in the community.
In addition to our passion for children, I have my doctorate in audiology and my husband has his Master’s in Special Education. Together, we serve as the co-teachers for all of our Bright Beginnings students.
Philosophy
At Bright Beginnings Daycare, we are geared toward encouraging education at an early age. We believe that children no matter what age they are, children are taking in information and learning who they are how the world works. The goal of our program is to make learning possible and accessible for all members of our community!
Location
Bright Beginnings has a designated space on the first floor of our secure, residential home. Children are able to play outside in a local park, on walks around the neighborhood, and on trips to local places like the police station, movie theater, or pizza restaurant.
About our program
Our activities and lesson plan are guided by the children. We may have a monthly theme or a weekly plan, but the interests of the children are the foundation for how we set up learning.
Sharing information about your child is incredibly important to us! We have a notebook where we take down updates and reports for you each day. You’ll always be aware of how your child spent their time with us.
We are thinking about your child’s future every day that they’re with us. We are driven to provide an educational foundation, and that makes its way into each part of our daily rhythm. We love and care for the children here, and part of that is knowing we are their first learning experience!
