Our Teachers

Hi there! I am Gale Warner and I am the founder of 3 J’s - which comes from the fact that my three children’s first names all start with that letter. While they’ve grown older, I have continued to provide care in my home to families in my community and have over a decade of running a childcare program. I am passionate about nurturing children, seeing them grow, and working with families.

Philosophy

Here at 3 J’s Daycare & Wonderschool, we strive to provide an environment that nurtures children’s ability to play and learn by ensuring that they feel safe and secure. As a play-based program, we see learning occur each day when children are able to interact with us and each other in such a way that they can express themselves. This is possible during our organized circle time or group free play - children are comfortable, loved, and able to grow.

Location

Our program is housed in a privately-owned home in the Prospect Lefferts Gardens neighborhood of Brooklyn. Our outdoor play not only occurs in our backyard, but also in and around the community. We enjoy taking walks to Prospect Park and visiting local spots like the library, police station, or market. We are conveniently located only a block away from the Sterling St stop on the 2 or 5 line and less than 10 minutes from the B and Q lines’ Prospect Park Station.

About our program

Our daily rhythm is geared toward positive, happy interactions. From smiles when they arrive and see their friends to the joy of dance during our circle time, letting kids enjoy their day is our focus!

We serve nutritious foods. As part of the local food program, I am focused on homemade meals free of processed ingredients and including healthy, often gluten-free options.

Parents are seen as partners. We like to share what happens each day with parents at pickup and share developmental milestones with you. We believe in helping kids grow in their independence, and always talk about what you can do at home to help with that.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application here! Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
