Hello! My name is Rafaela Hernandez and I am the founder of Oasis de Enseñanza Wonderschool. I am originally from the Dominican Republic and opened this program when I arrived in the United States. I have always worked with kids, and my program was licensed in 2006.
Philosophy
At Oasis de Enseñanza Wonderschool, children are given the opportunity to learn through all types of play. We believe that children truly enjoy learning when they are able to explore the world around them, and have set up a learning environment that lets them touch and manipulate the different materials as a way to discover new things.
Location
Our program is located in a secure apartment building located in the Kingsbridge Heights neighborhood of the Bronx. We are conveniently located near the Kingsbridge St station on the 4 line and walking distance from the Marble Hill - 225th St station on the 4 train.
About our program
This is a language immersion program. Each day, all communication is in Spanish. No matter what language your child speaks, they will gain critical skills speaking and listening with us in Spanish.
We serve nutritious meals and snacks. As part of a local food program, we pay attention to what your child eats.
This is an in-home program. We provide care for young children and support them at their level. We get to know you and your family and eventually you become one of ours!

3. Submit an Enrollment Application
If you would like to enroll, please submit an application! Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.
4. Enroll
After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
