Meet Mrs. Matos. Owner Hello and welcome! My name is Tina, and I decided to open A Place to Grow because I believe childcare and early childhood education should be a family experience. I made the tough decision to resign from the New York City Department of Education, where I served parents just like you, who wanted nothing but the best for their children. I decided to create a space where I can serve parents and children in a genuine partnership by advocating for parents and educating children. I am also a licensed New York state foster parent, and that has given me firsthand insight into the importance of serving the whole child, socially, emotionally, and academically. My goal is for each family to feel that they are part of a wonderful community. Your child will leave A Place to Grow prepared for their next journey with a strong foundation built on love, support, confidence, and independence that will allow them to bravely navigate the world around them! “Free the child’s potential, and you will transform them into the world.” {Maria Montessori} “Logic will get you from A to B, imagination will take you everywhere.” {Albert Einstein}
Philosophy
About A PLACE TO GROW A Place to Shine With our progressive and holistic early childhood education philosophy, we understand that each child has unique needs and interests. We provide the environment and tools your child needs to thrive to the best of their abilities.
When we expose children to different environments and various learning experiences, we allow them to explore their self-awareness and gain a sense of the world around them. Once they leave A PLACE TO GROW, they’re fully prepared for the next stage of their young lives.
Location
A PLACE, TO GROW is located in the Bronx New York near the 4 and D train.
