Our Teachers
Ms. Amy is the owner/operator of Friends of Nature. She has been providing exceptional childcare for over 20 years. Her love for children and teaching drove her to open her own childcare center for preschool aged children in 2016. Amy loves all things sensory and isn’t afraid to get messy while helpng young minds explore through play.
As a mother of small children Amy knows how hard it can be to leave your precious little one during the day. She is passionate about providing a safe and loving environment while you are away.
Philosophy
Friends of Nature is a sensory and nature based childcare program that allows children to gain self-awareness, enhance social skills, explore, discover, imagine, create and learn through exploration of the world around them. All while implementing preschool standards in a child-led learning environment.

About our program
At Friends of Nature in Reno, children thrive through hands-on learning experiences and outdoor play. Our program fosters independence, emotional growth, and a strong sense of the world around us. With a focus on early childhood education, we provide a unique environment that encourages children to use their imagination and explore using materials easily found in nature.
