Philosophy
We are focused on short sessions with high learning curriculum. Our program is perfect for part-time families who want their children to have the opportunity to socialize and interact with peers while also enjoying a variety of enriching activities. At our daycare, we take pride in offering a specialized curriculum that caters to the unique needs and interests of each child. Our program focuses on various developmental domains, including cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and language development. Through a blend of play-based, project-based, Montessori, and Reggio Emilia approaches, we create a dynamic learning environment that sparks curiosity and fosters a love for learning. Our carefully crafted activities and strategies are designed to support each child’s growth and development, promoting independence, creativity, and holistic well-being. With our specialized curriculum, we aim to provide an engaging and enriching educational experience for every child in our care.
Location
We are located right next to McQueen highschool. We have a new park going in down the street with easy access to shopping while your little one is in care.
About our program
We will be teaching basic signs to the children and incorporating various creative activities such as music and art. We are trained in conducting assessments on children aged 0-5, utilizing The Hawaii Early Learning Profile (HELP) to track milestones. Individual learning plans, based on HELP, will be created for each child and updated bi-weekly.
We will embrace and celebrate any traditions and holidays that each family observes, fostering a warm and home-like environment. Our teaching philosophy centers around hands-on experiences and embracing mess as a part of the learning process. Activities will be thoughtfully planned, offering many open-ended experiences.
Through play, we aim to prepare your children for the next steps in their education. Ideal clients would be families seeking socialization opportunities and unique experiences for their children aged 0-5. We are open to both part-time and full-time arrangements, with a focus on preparing children for Kindergarten. Date night opportunities will be available as well.
Drawing from our own experience as stay-at-home parents, we understand the need for short hours to run errands or attend appointments. We wanted a space that not only cared for our child but also facilitated their growth and learning, even if only for a brief time during the day. We aim to provide a supportive environment for like-minded parents who seek occasional breaks along with quality educational experiences for their children.
We plan to open a home daycare in the Northwestern Reno area, offering a space for learning, creativity, and a bit of messiness.
