Our Teachers

Mrs. Cajica has been in the field of Early Childhood Education for over 25 years and has a B.S. degree in Early Childhood Education. She has preschool and kindergarten classroom experience. She has devoted herself to advocacy for children and families.

La Sra. Cajica ha estado en el campo de la Educación Infantil durante más de 25 años y tiene una licenciatura. Licenciatura en Educación Infantil. Tiene experiencia en preescolar y Kinder. Se ha dedicado a la defensa de los niños y las familias. Tiene certificación en competencia social-emocional.

Philosophy

We believe that children are strong and curious individuals. We strive to assist children in understanding the world around them by pursuing their interests as they learn and develop at their at their own pace and time.

Creemos que los niños son personas fuertes y curiosas. Nos esforzamos por ayudar a los niños a comprender el mundo que los rodea persiguiendo sus intereses mientras aprenden y se desarrollan a su propio ritmo y tiempo.

Location

We are in the North Las Vegas neighborhood in a single family home. We are a few blocks away from Richard Priest Elementary School, the Alexander Public Library, and Craig Ranch Park.

About our program

At Little Steps to Learning, we are a Reggio-Emilia-inspired family childcare home. We concentrate on helping children transition from home to school by creating an environment that is homey and welcoming as we teach concepts of language, and social-emotional skills to empower them to become self-sufficient learners.

En Little Steps to Learning, somos un hogar de cuidado infantil familiar inspirado en Reggio-Emilia. Nos concentramos en ayudar a los niños en la transición del hogar a la escuela creando un ambiente hogareño y acogedor mientras les enseñamos conceptos de lenguaje y habilidades socioemocionales para capacitarlos para que se conviertan en estudiantes autosuficientes.
