Our Teachers

Kayla Bermudes, Director

Kayla is a mother to two young children born and raised in Las Vegas. Growing up around in home child care she learned and developed a heart for being an influence in young children’s lives. Her mission is to help shape kind humans!

Philosophy

Wildflower focuses on play based learning. Our program is heavily child led. Curriculum is taught throughout every activity we do. We introduce new concepts to our children daily and explore many ideas through crafts and sensory play.

About our program

This Program offers a full day program for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. Nutritious snacks and meals provided to each child in care. Wildflower Learning uses a child-centered approach, where I pay close attention and respond to each child’s interests, abilities and learning style. Using a variety of hands-on materials, learning is made fun and functional. The children have opportunities to explore a wide variety of activities and play materials, which promote their motor, cognitive, social-emotional, adaptive and communication development. The curriculum is balanced between indoor activities, free play, crafts and group interactive learning. My main objective is to provide a loving, nurturing environment for your child that is an extension of their family unit, a home away from home. As a care provider my goal is to promote each child’s healthy motor, cognitive, social/emotional, adaptive and communication development. As a mother to two children I pride myself on gentle parenting, I am choosing to be a childcare provider so that I can help shape the next generation of kind humans. Discipline is not served in my home through time out or physical force, I encourage healthy discussions with each child to determine why they are behaving in a manner that may not be healthy for other children. In doing so I hope to build your child’s confidence in making choices themselves, teach them patience, and set an example of mutual respect.
