Amber Williams, Owner/Director: After 15 fulfilling years in the Clark County School District, I am proud to announce my new venture as the owner of New Journey Academy. I have always had a passion for working with children since I am the oldest girl of five siblings, I guess it just came naturally. This opportunity to launch my own after school enrichment program is an exciting new chapter in my career. My goal is to create an environment that is both stimulating and supportive, one where children can explore, learn, and grow. I believe that a program like this can help foster a sense of community and develop children’s social, emotional, and educational skills. I look forward to my “new journey” and the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families in my community.

About our program
After school enrichment programs are incredibly important for students of all ages. They provide an opportunity for students to pursue interests outside of the traditional classroom setting, explore new areas of study, and develop skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration. Enrichment programs can also help to foster a sense of purpose and self-esteem, while giving students an outlet to explore areas they may not have access to in the classroom.
If you are looking for after school transportation for enrichment courses, New Journey Academy may be an excellent option for you. Not only does New Journey Academy provide access to extracurricular activities, but it also offers a range of other benefits, such as a safe and supportive learning environment, a variety of courses and activities, and the opportunity for your child to make new friends.
New Journey Academy delivers enrichment services through our association with the YMCA, City Community Centers, and the Las Vegas Valley Library District all in an effort to ensure community involvement. We also aim to provide positive-reinforcement-based experience by urging children to develop their social and emotional skills, which reinforce cognitive development. Above all, we want to ensure that our After Care Enrichment Program is a fun and enjoyable experience for all of our participants.
Plus, many of the courses and activities are completely free of charge. We understand that traveling after school in Las Vegas traffic can be challenging, so we are here to help alleviate the stress of unnecessary traffic delays, limited-capacities at local Safe Key locations, or possibly hectic work schedules that are interfering when you are trying to provide every enrichment advantage for your child. New Journey Academy is perfect, we are located here in North Las Vegas to help provide enrichment to children outside of the traditional school day, all without running around town.
New Journey Academy enrichment programs can provide children with a range of activities to further their education and develop their skills. Here are some ideas for enrichment programs here at New Journey Academy that you can consider for your child: Arts and Crafts: Encourage your child to explore their creative side with art and craft activities such as painting, sculpting, drawing, and collaging.

New Journey Academy Individualized Learning Programs (ILP) are designed to provide students with a wide range of activities and experiences that can help to further their education and provide a more rounded learning experience. These activities can include sports, arts and crafts, academic tutoring, music and drama, technology classes, and more. The goal is to provide students with the opportunity to explore their interests, gain new skills, and build a stronger sense of community.
New Journey Academy utilizes our local community center, libraries, and the YMCA for after school enrichment for a variety of important reasons. Community staples like these, can provide a safe and positive environment for children to interact with each other, learn new skills, and develop new interests. Additionally, local community centers and the YMCA often offer special programs that can help children to explore topics like science, music, art, technology, and more. Many of these programs can be offered at a discount for our scholars and their families, which can help make it more affordable to access these resources. In short, using local resources such as the YMCA is an important part of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and can help scholars and their families reach their goals both in and out of school.
