I’ve been serving children for over 30 years in different environments. My passion is the overall well-being for children to be healthy, included, guided, exposed to diversity, and encouraged to go above and beyond their limits.
Philosophy
Cubs Learning Center-this Child Care recognizes the diverse needs, abilities, interests, and cultures in a setting where each child is valued and respected as a unique individual developing at his/her own rate.
Our team believe each child development is guided by a cooperative, diverse team of professionals through observation, interaction, and well-planned learning activities. Through promotion of a curriculum that provides age-appropriate and individually appropriate activities, equipment and materials, children have many opportunities to be actively engaged in the learning process.
The curriculum will promote the development of the whole child-physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually-through a balanced daily schedule of individual, small group and activity-based learning experience. We recognize the importance of working closely with families and acknowledging family involvement as an essential and vital component of the total learning process. Families are encouraged to participate in all activities within the program.
About our program
Our child care is a fully inclusive early childhood program which provides a safe and nurturing inclusive environment for infants and children 0 weeks through ten years of age. The Center promotes the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth and language development of young children while involving the families. Our main focus is on the child. Therefore, the center is “child-centered”. Each child has seen a variety of learning areas. Teachers and staff provide the time and opportunities for children to explore children to plan and carry out their own activities, they become imaginative, set-directed learners and problem solvers.
Our Center will apply four fundamental features that will serve as the driving force behind the services offered:
-
Extended hours of operation of eighteen hours a day, 6 days a week, Monday-Saturday, 6 a.m.-12 a.m. with a flexible scheduling option for our parents to care for their child or children;
-
Providing our children with an environmentally-friendly hands-on learning experience that will be incorporated into their daily curriculum. This will include training in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (S.T.E.A.M.) and The Creative Curriculum. It will be an exciting place to be with creative ideas, exploratory advancement of new things in their surroundings and environments, and the development of higher learning skills. Also, our center will be friendly, nurturing, and caring towards the families that we serve. Collaboration and being informative will be another major key to our success to ensure that parents don’t miss out on precious moments of their child’s developmental stages;
-
Providing accommodations, therapists, and inclusion for children with disabilities, so that they will be a part of learning, loving, and caring family-oriented community and;
-
Making the learning process fun and adventurous, guiding children as they develop their learning skills and reach their true potential. We will encourage and empower their educational growth and development.
