Hello Families, My Name is Mallein Mendivil, the founder of Bright Minds Childcare. I am a mom of 2 beautiful children, Madeline and Mathias. I love to dance and sing (although I’m not that good at singing). Ever since I was little I struggled to choose my career. I was stuck between being a teacher or being a nurse. I worked in the medical field for about 7 years and loved it. Being the oldest of 3 and the second Oldest of 13 grandkids I’ve definitely been around kids. I’ve always wanted to work with children and have Babysat on the side for as long as I can remember because I just love playing with the kids and watching them grow. Before I was inspired to open my program I was in school to become a Physician Assistant and wanted to work at a pediatrics office but After having my son I realized just how much I loved staying home with them, to watch them learn and grow.
Philosophy
At Bright Minds Childcare we provide a Spanish Bilingual Play-Based learning environment and believe that every child learns in different ways and at different paces. We Focus on getting the children ready for their school years by socializing, Communicating, and bringing out their Creativity. We would also want to increase their cognitive abilities with the help of Music and Creative play. Here at Bright Minds teaching a Second Language is important as there is strong evidence that states learning more than one language at an early age can lead to improved cognitive abilities, So we will be incorporating Spanish throughout our day.
