Erika Peinado Bernal, Program Director I am a Dynamic educator with experience at daycare skilled in classroom management and relationship building. Successfully enhanced student engagement through interactive methods and maintained strong parent-teacher communication. Bilingual in Spanish, I foster a supportive learning environment while ensuring safety and organization, contributing to students’ academic success and personal growth. i am certified in child development and i am also certified i CPR/AED.

Philosophy

Our children at Sunnyside Learning Academy will learn social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills through play and group activities. They will have many choices throughout the day to engage in activities that align with their unique needs and interests on an individual basis. Our belief is that every child is capable and unique, with the potential to learn and grow in a safe and nurturing environment. We are committed to offering high-quality care and education to support each child’s holistic development. Our learning environment will encompass both structured and unstructured play, aiming to ensure that every child feels valued, respected, and empowered to thrive, fostering a love for learning and nurturing confidence, competence, and compassion in each individual.

2. Tour our program Come see what makes Sunnyside learning academy unique. If we are currently hosting tours, you can request or schedule a tour at the top of this page. If we are not currently hosting tours, you’ll see a “Request Info” button at the top of this page; if you submit your information using this button, we will notify you when we start host tours again in the future.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application If you’re interested in enrolling, submit an application by selecting Apply to enroll. If this option if not available, you can message the program director. Please do not apply to enroll until you have set up a tour and visited the program.
